I was able to use this reader to view/transfer files to my PC as well as my previous phone (Samsung S9), without any issues. In the Files app, I do not see the micro SD under Storage devices and so can't view or access the micro SD at all. If I try to change it to "This device", it says couldn't switch. It says USB controlled by "Connected device". When I connect the USB-C side into my Pixel 6, I see the USB Preferences notification. I have enabled Dev options and changed the Default USB Configuration to "File transfer/Android Auto". The reader has both a USB-C and regular USB port.
